"Summer is my favorite season of the year, when nature delivers the most beautiful flowers and fruits of the season. Inspired by summery delights and my favorite painting technique-watercolor, I created this summery collection. Some prints were also part of my “Lavish” collection, when I first submitted it several years ago, so Floralish can also be seen as its sequel." - Katarina Roccella.

Even though it's technically winter, here in Florida we're used to warm sunshine this time of year! You'll often find us Floridians decorating palm tress with Christmas lights, and there's been several years where I've even gone to the beach on New Year's Day with the family. 

With this in mind, we decided to stick to what we know and bring in some warmer climates with Maureen Cracknell’s latest collection, Sun Kissed! Inspired by soaking up the sunshine and glowing skin after a cool swim, this fabric line features cute smiley suns, swimming pool tiles, tropical florals and palm trees swaying in a relaxing breeze. If you haven't gone yet, you MUST go to Hawaii at least once in your lifetime! There's so much beautiful scenery to take in there! The sunsets, the gorgeous Pacific Ocean, the amazing food like fresh pineapple..it's truly a gorgeous and magical place. My favorite part of visiting Hawaii was going horse back riding where "Jurassic Park" was filmed, I felt like at any moment a dinosaur was going to pop out of the huge trees there. It was completely surreal and breathtaking.

Is there a certain children's book that you absolutely loved as a kid?!

When I was a little girl, my mother or grandmother would lay in bed next to me with a book, and would read to me before I fell asleep, each night. As they read to me, I would let my imagination come to life, pretending that I was making friends with animals or mystical creatures in the story, and going on adventures to far off lands! Depending on the character in the book, my grandmother would change the tone of her voice as she read aloud, which made it even more entertaining and silly. Some of my favorite books were "Where the Wild Things Are," "Goodnight Moon" and the nursery rhyme, "Wynken, Blynken and Nod." I still have all of these children's' books, and take them out from time to time when I'm feeling nostalgic! :)

With that super nostalgic, imaginative feeling in mind, I'm SUPER EXCITED to introduce you all to what we've been working on at AGF Studio. Our latest collection "LITTLE CLEMENTINE!" Inspired by stories coming to life, this story for our collection is  about "Little Clementine," a little girl with a big imagination who enjoys reading books and befriending forest creatures like bears and rabbits. Adorned with enchanted forests, cute houses, ditsy florals and novelty prints like "cardigans" and "cozy scarves," these fabrics are filled with soft, autumnal tones that make these fabrics, extra cozy! This collection honestly is one of my favorites! I love the story, the soft colors and the cute characters in it! I can picture so many different ways to use these darling fabrics with fussy cutting, baby quilts, kids' garments, accessories, a super cute lunchbox, book covers, wall decor, a mobile above a crib, and lamp shades that you'd find in a nursery!

Happy Fall, Ya'll!

Hope you're as excited as I am with this new season that's finally here!

Hands down, fall is my favorite time of year, even though we're here in Florida where we don't really have seasons..minus hurricane season! I still like to pretend the leaves change color and force myself to wear "cozy layers" despite the humidity. There's something so festive about this time of year that's super exciting! It's that time when you get to gather with your family and friends, eat a ton of pumpkin-flavored foods, continue traditions with holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving and just enjoy being together. I think my favorite fall tradition is getting together with my gal pals at one of our homes, paint real pumpkins while watching the movie "Hocus Pocus" and eating way too much candy corn! :) 

Inspired by that fall feeling, our designer Maureen Cracknell translated that true spirit of this season into her latest collection, "Autumn Vibes." This whimsical collection’s color palette features earthy shades of cinnamon, honey, pumpkin, mustard, and eggplant which are all my absolute favorite colors! Filled with vibrant blooms, whimsical foxes, playful squirrels and folkloric designs, these twenty prints are a great go-to for your autumn-inspired sewing projects!
