A Winter Wonderland: Snow Day Fabrics

Happy Friday!

Living in Florida, I never really experienced a whole Winter season! I’ve traveled up north before just to see the snow, and although I’ve experienced it a small number of times, seeing the snowfall for the first time is truly something magical. I automatically associate the winter season with things that I love most, hot chocolate, being with family, Christmas, and warm fuzzy sweaters. So, when I saw the Snow Day fabric collection by Mister Domestic, I was so thrilled to see so many prints that captured these special memories.

Now for the past couple of weeks, the moment a lot of people have been waiting for is here! Snow Day Fabric Lookbook is finally out, filled with festive projects and more. Prepare to step into a winter wonderland and reminisce on everything that makes a day like this truly special, from creating snowmen, getting into snowball fights, bundling up, and drinking hot cocoa.

From fun typography to adorable sweatshirts, there is so much variety in this collection. Keeping the winter color palette present, the dominant color of cool blues and whites are ideal for the sewing season.

SnowDays_11*Featuring Bundled Up Dim, Knitted Snowflakes, and Wintry Check Soft prints

Snow Day comes in a variety of different scales, with a lot of great prints to fussy cut like “Bundled Up Dim”. There are lots of blender fabrics that work well with this print and the rest of the prints or use them alone like the “Wintry Check Soft” print. I can already see the projects now! Tree skirts, stockings, table runners, and PJs, there are so many possibilities with these fabrics.

Here are other suggested Elements that pair perfectly with the collection:

For all the garment makers out there, there are a couple of knit options for you too! Prepare for the cold weather with these cozy knit fabrics prints in “Bundled Up Bright” and “Wintry Check Deep” for sweatshirts, beanies, mittens, socks, and even sweat pants. There are so many possibilities for this substrate, and if you ever felt it before, you’ll know how hard it is NOT to make everything out of it!

I can talk all about project inspiration for the rest of the day, but nothing is better than seeing makers bring it to life. Check out the lookbook below for tons of patterns that you can download with a click of a button.
