Color Master of The Month: Gentle Spring
May 01, 2019
Can you believe it’s May already? So much happened in the month of April, two of my family members’ birthdays, Easter, and Earth Day! Lots of weekends filled with laughter and family time and of course, some crafty me-time. The sun is finally out, the breeze is still cool, and flowers are at full bloom, so you know what that means? Some spring… SEWING (definitely not cleaning!) Time to warm up those sewing machines because of our “Gentle Spring” Color Master is just the perfect bundle for the season. Inspired by all the events that happened in April and the sunny weekends to come in the future, I’m excited to show you all the lovely soft palette prints featured in this box and all the projects you can do with these fabrics!
With this wide variety of tones, take your fabric projects to the next level! All you need is one bundle to make a project that's perfect for the month, and you can get it in two sizes: Fat Quarters or Half yards.
Here are some projects from the lookbooks that you can make with our “Color Master” fabrics!
Round Blooms Bag #1: Featuring the print “Aves Chatter Reverie”, this bag is one of my favorites because you can add a wonderful quilty touch with the stitching and strip piecing! It’s a super cute, unique shape too that’s great for on-the-go with trips to the farmer’s market or beach!
Plenum Quilt #2: Using the entire "Color Master" to create this gorgeous, pastel-filled quilt! An explosion of color using our signature quality cotton, combined with an original and unique project. If you’re interested in only making the Plenum Quilt Top with the box, then check out our Plenum Quilt free pattern, which includes all 10 prints!
Baby Emerie Romper #3: The “Flowerfield Sunrise” print from Bari J. was used for this romper and it definitely doesn't need any other print to shine. With the added pom-poms, this makes me want to make one for myself!
This “Color Master” bundle can give you the option of using just one print or several to compliment any of your sewings designs. Although this bundle highlights the baby blue color, each print has distinct hues that make it easy to pair with other projects. For example, the print called "Flowerfield Sunrise” (Print shown below, circled in red) has an array of colors like lime green and orange that can help piece together other fabrics with a matching color palette.
Imagine all the possibilities that can be done and if you still need some DIY ideas, you can follow our #AGFColorMaster hashtag, where you can see what other makers are making with these group of fabrics! Remember that this box is there for your convenience, it has many uses! The “Color Master Box” can keep your fabrics organized and neatly displayed for easy finding, or you can share the love because it’s perfectly curated in a box for an easy present!
