Our Favorite Holiday Gifts!

Hi Makers!

Can you believe it's mid-November already?! Where did this year go!? It's just flying by! I'm sure most of you have already started sewing your handmade gifts for the holidays, but if you're a procrastinator like me, you might just be starting to plan out your list of gifts that you're going to give to your loved ones! Since time is always ticking, and although a handmade gift is the most thoughtful, it can often take up a lot of time. Don't fret though, I've got you covered! Here's our favorite holiday gifts that will save you lots of time, but are still thoughtful and personal.

2. A Japanese Style Apron

The "utilitarian trend" is still going strong and this apron is just so stylish yet comfortable! Made with our AGF denim (floral top is made with Gathered Fabrics by Bonnie Christine), this Japanese style apron is not only a great gift for someone who enjoys gardening, but can also be given to anyone who loves to cook or bake! Pair it with a recipe book or a gardening book, and you have such a cute, personalized gift! For the tutorial, head over to "The Hearty Home's" blog. If you have extra time, you can even embroider the recipient's initials on a apron pocket! :)

3. Fabric Ornaments

Aura Ornaments 3

Made with his Aura fabrics, our designer Mister Domestic created these gorgeous fabric ornaments that are just absolutely stunning! These little guys can be tied to a wrapped gift or given "as is" to anyone and everyone! Since they don't look like you're "traditional ornaments," they can also be hung up all year round in a sewing room or creative studio as a touch of cozy inspiration! For the tutorials of how to make a "Star Ornament" or "Fabric Pinecone," head to our Aura Fabric Lookbook

4. Jewelry Pouch

5. Tea Towels

Last but not least, who doesn't love a handmade tea towel for their kitchen!? Using "Indigo and Aster" fabrics by Bari J., these tea towels are so cute for a hostess as well..especially if you're helping them with prepping a holiday dinner. I'm sure they will need a tea towel for a bread basket or for everyone favorite's part of a holiday dinner - washing dishes, haha! But seriously, these are such cute, useful gifts. I always give my mom one every year, and I love seeing which one she uses/hangs in her kitchen, depending on the occasion. Here's the pattern for you! Bonus: they can also be turned into napkins. :)

Hope this guide helps decrease all the stress of making handmade gifts! Remember, it's the thought the counts.

Until next time, keep creating! :)
