The Rustic Crossroads mini consists of two different plus blocks that will measure 10" by 10" finished. The finished quilt should finish at about 20" squared.
Creating Block A
Sew a 2 1/2" square from Fabric D and Fabric J together and press open. Sew this to a 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strip from Fabric D. Repeat this step three more times to get four corner blocks.
Sew a 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strip from Fabric C to each side of a 2 1/2" square from Fabric K to create your center block. Next sew a 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strip in between to corner block units. Repeat this same process for the other side of your block. Sew all three rows together to create Block A.
Following the same process create another Block A with your remaining fabric pieces.
Creating Block B
Sew a 2 1/2" square from Fabric J to each side of a 2 1/2" square from Fabric H. Create two of these units. Sew these units to each side of a 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strip from Fabric H.
Sew a double border around your center block with 1 1/2" strips from Fabric K and I.
Repeat this process again with your remaining fabric pieces. Sew all four blocks together following the block design.
For the quilting I kept it basic with some 1/4" straight line quilting and used a orangey red Aurifil thread called Cinnabar #6728. I binded it with the "Scarlet Brick " textured denim from AGF Denim Studio which adds the perfect finishing touch.
