Dressing for Fall- Creating the Perfect Wardrobe

Do a little fall sewing with October's neutral ColorFun bundle!

Cappuccino logo

Hey, sewing friends!

October is here, which means it’s time to reveal the color of the month! For this edition of ColorFun we decided to explore a neutral color that can work with a variety of color combinations and is adequate for autumn. Therefore, our color choice for October is cappuccino (a.k.a taupe)!

This neutral is warm, classic, can be adapted into a variety of styles and is timeless. Check out the inspirational mood board we put together.

So, what do you think? Classy, huh? One thing I love about this color is that it’s so calming to look at. That’s probably why many hotels use it in their decor! But if using cappuccino colored fabrics are too minimal for you, don’t worry. This color can be combined with tons of dark and light colors. Here are a few of my go-to combinations:

Cappuccino color pairings

Isn’t is cool how you can combine this hue with jewel tones and pastels? Now, let’s visualize everything in projects.

Cappuccino fabrics in accessories:

Here at AGF we love making functional projects like pencil bags, makeup brush holders, things for the kitchen, etc. But as you might know, sometimes when you make projects that are made for everyday use they can get dingy quickly! A great solution for that is using dark fabrics with fun prints, like the one we used for this art roll up made with Sketchbook Fabrics by Sharon Holland.

Cappuccino fabrics in home decor:

Neutrals are always great to add to your home decor. They add a subtle touch of style and can be paired with bright colors for an eclectic touch. Check out this pillow made with one of our featured cappuccino prints and pops of pink. ;)

Cappuccino fabrics in Fashion:

Last but not least, don’t forget to add this color in your wardrobe! You can layer cappuccino colored sweaters, combine it with bright colors, or even try a monochrome look. No matter how you combine this color in your daily outfits, you’re sure to look stylish!
