10 Projects Made with Capsules & Fusions: Mister Domestic's Sewing Party Re-cap

Hey there, everyone!

Today, I have a wave of inspiration coming your way! A little over a week ago our AGF Sewcialite Mister Domestic hosted a huge sewing party. He invited 10 of his sewing friends and they created tons of creative projects with our Capsules and Fusions bite-sized collections. For two weeks straight the participating makers had us drooling over their projects! Let’s take a look at what they made.

Mister Domestic's Sewing Party Re-cap

1.Boho Stacked Quilt by Nicole Daksiewicz (@modernhandcraft)

Nicole combined our Boho Fusion collection with solid smooth denim to create a modern yet cozy quilt. Pattern coming soon to Nicole’s website.

  1. Letters Throw Pillows by Stephanie Palmer (@latenightquilter)

Stephanie highlighted various prints from Letters fabrics (Capsule) with quilted details to create a lovely set of throw pillows for her living room.

  1. Mad Plaid Trompe Le Monde Bag by Cristy Stuhldreher (@loveyousew_)

I can’t stress this enough, a girl can never have enough bags! To add to her collection, Cristy made this fabulous Trompe Le Monde with Mad Plaid Fabrics and textured denim (Capsule). Isn’t it oh so spacious?

  1. Lower the Volume Sariella Deco Hex Quilt By Nicole Young (@lillyellasworld)

Nicole accentuated the versatile Lower the Volume fabrics with crisp yellow and solid smooth denim to create this geometric beauty. Although it’s a WIP, I look forward to seeing this quilt come together!

  1. Abloom Fusion Wildabon Quilt by Jenn Rossotti (@jennrossotti)

I must admit this quilt that Jenn made with Abloom Fusions was like receiving a bouquet on a special occasion. The meticulously placed applique flowers and the beautiful dense quilting is definitely a site to see!

  1. Lower the Volume Skinny Bins by Kitty Wilkin (@nightquilter)

Storing scraps couldn’t get any cuter! Kitty made these adorable bins with Lower the Volume fabrics and gave them a pop of color with Pure Elements. Check out how they double down as wine cozies on her blog!

  1. Capsules Circles Quilt by Sharon McConnell (@colorgirlquilts)

Sharon created this fabulous graphic quilt with the majority of our Capsules collections. From curved piecing to eye catching blocks, this quilt has it all!

  1. Boho Fusion Rayon Dress by Sari Thomas (@sariditty)

Sari was totally the show stopper at this sewing party with her rayon dress made with the “Swifting Flora Boho” print rayon from Boho Fusions. She’s definitely ready for spring weather with her stylish dress.

  1. Joyful Fusions Motivational Quilt by Melissa LeRay (@ohhowsweetco)

Melissa created the most empowering quilt with Joyful Fusions. This beauty is a great reminder that when you believe in yourself, anything is possible.

  1. Boho Fusions & EZmiter Quilt by Tara Jaye (@weftyneedle)

Last but not least, Tara showed off her crafty quilting skills with this hefty EZ miter quilt. This quilt is great for an outdoor bench since the majority of the background is made with textured denim combined with Boho Fusions.

Wasn’t that a fun party? I hope you have enjoyed gazing at all the projects made by these amazing makers. Check out their blogs for a closer look at all their projects and make sure to what they’re up to on Instagram.

Have a happy day filled with inspiration!

Mother's day DIY gift - How to make a quilted artwork

Hello creative moms and daughters!

Mother's Day is approaching and you must agree that there's no better gift than the ones you make yourself!

I decided to make my mom quilted artwork, that says : "Home is wherever mom is". Even if we live far away from our moms (like I do) we can always feel the love and care that they have for us. They shaped us to who we are now and they'll always want what's best for us.

Sometimes we just take things in life for granted and we don't make time to celebrate our loved ones. So, for this Mother's Day I encourage you to do something special for your mom. Whether you decide to make a handmade project or invite her for a special mother-daughter date, it doesn't matter what you do as long as you show your mom that you appreciate her.

Mothers-day-quilted-artwork-tutorial

I made this project using Charleston and Les Petits collections by Amy Sinibaldi. I love how those two collections coordinate with each other. I think my mom will definitely like the polka dot fabrics from the Les Petits collection. I hope your mom will too!

Watch the  video tutorial and get inspired to make this artwork for your mom. Click here to download free template.

Happy Mother's Day to all moms out there! Let us know in comments if you are planning to make something for your mom for her special day:)

Lots of love and happy sewing!

Ola
