Get inspired with Fuchsia - Color of April in AGF Color FUN series

Fuchsia logo

Hello fabric enthusiasts!

I hope that you are excited about spring and that many fun sewing projects are calling your name! :) Today it’s time for AGF color of the month and I can’t be more excited to tell you more about it.

From toned down black and white fabric combination that was featured in the last Color Fun episode we decided to switch to the color that celebrates beginning of spring with full power! For the month of April we chose happy and bold fuchsia which is the key color trend for 2017 spring/summer season.

It’s hard not to love this color, right? Although wearing it by itself may be a little brave, try to combine it with other colors to add pops of freshness to your projects.

What colors are best to combine with fuchsia?

Fuchsia looks great when combined with navy, mustard, black and white. Try to mix and match it also with grey, or ivory to elevate those two colors.

Recently one of the trendy and bold combination are fuchsia and teal or orange. Try those 2 combinations to make fresh and vibrant spring sewing projects. Maybe you want to give a try to some of these spring dresses patterns? Try sewing them with voile fabric or our recently released rayon.

Fuchsia is a go to color for weddings, and many couples choose it to create eye catching decorations like floral arrangements, table clothes, and of course bridesmaid dresses for their weddings. It also looks great when used in home decor, as long as you don’t overuse it and find the right balance. :)

So don’t be afraid to use this happy color in your spring sewing projects! Take a look at the mood board to get inspired and let your imagination flow:)
