How to sew a bunny bib? - Sew Crafty Easter sewing tutorial

Hello all makers!

Today I have s special project to share with you. Have you been following our Sew Crafty video series? I hope you have! If not you must catch up quickly! ;) In this video-tutorial I want to inspire you to make a cute bunny bib. I find this project just perfect! And here is why...

First of all I am a total bunny lover (read freak)! 2 years ago I found in the park a little black bunny, I took him home and he became an awesome part of my family. Spock - that's his name - is the most adorable little, fluffy, happy pet you can imagine. ;) <3

Around Easter time people very often buy bunnies for their kids. Unfortunately kids get bored quickly or simply don't know how to take a proper care of their rabbits. As a result lots of bunnies are being dumped in the parks after Easter. :( It's so sad, but it happens! So if you'll ever want to have a bunny, consider adopting one from local shelter. There is thousands of bunnies that need a loving home!

Ok! coming back to the project and why I find it so perfect. ;) Well, of course Easter is coming and this project is just ideal for this time of the year. It would make a perfect gift for a baby girl (or if you want to make it for a boy, just skip the fussy cut flower part in the video) ;)

Last but not least I am mommy-to-be and I made this project thinking of my little girl. What an awesome feeling it was to make something for her already, and imagine how cute she's going to look wearing this bib! <3 <3

I used fabrics from Bountiful collection by Sharon Holland and I simply love how they coordinate with each other. To download bunny bib pattern click here.

I hope you will enjoy this quick tutorial...

Happy Sewing!

We’ve experimented with classic plaid prints, bold geometrics, edgy typography, and even showed off a new take on low-volume fabrics.

And as always, with each print that was developed we kept our love for quilting in mind. Check out some of the free quilt patterns made with each Capsule. Feel free (no pun intended) to download all of them!

Win fabrics with our new quilt challenge!

Hey there, makers!

How’s spring treating you so far? The weather is getting warmer, the flowers have starting to bloom, and it’s time to start sewing with all the bright fabrics from your stash! If you’re looking to make a new quilt this season and would like to win some fabrics, we have a new challenge for you!

Get ready to join the “Bring the Joy with Here Comes the Fun” Modern Quilt Challenge! Some time ago, we introduced this challenge around the time of Quiltcon since we were inspired by all the quilts that were on display at the show. We chose Here Comes the Fun by Sew Caroline because it is all about happy lyrics and the beautiful art that fills many cities combined with fun designs, so we thought it would be great for making bright modern quilts. Plus, the colors of this collection are great for spring!

Here Comes the Fun Challenge_Modern Quilting

If you’re excited to make a new quilt and win some fabrics, check out how you can be part of this challenge. 😉

If you would like to participate in this challenge, you will need to make a 40” x 60” modern quilt (or larger) that is made mostly with Here Comes the Fun Fabrics by Sew Caroline. You may mix and match blenders/ solids into your quilt as long as they are from AGF (the whole quilt must be made with AGF to be considered).

And yes, you are allowed to use a pre-made quilt pattern. When coming up with your design, think color blocking, negative space, geometric designs, etc. If you are stuck we have prepared a Pinterest board for you to get some inspiration. You have full creative freedom and “modern” is open to interpretation, so let your creativity guide you!
