How to combine pink with other fabrics - February Color Fun by AGF
February 03, 2017
Hello crafty friends!
Love is in the air! Do you feel it already? We hope you do and you are going to feel it even more with this month’s fabric bundle we chose for our Color Fun series. :) Since Valentine’s day is coming up we couldn’t choose any other color than the lovely, feminine, and romantic light pink!
Did you know that pink relates to unconditional love and understanding? It also represents compassion, nurturing and love. So there is simply no better color to choose for all of our Valentine’s Day sewing projects.:) <3
Although pink looks great by itself sometimes you may want to pair it with other colors to achieve a certain effect. Here is a couple of useful tips on how to do that. :)
Basic hues:
Black, silver, gold, grey, navy - those colors will make a light pink look more classy and elegant. If you love pink but are not sure how to style your entire home decor with pink, consider combining it with black or any other basic hue.
Light hues:
Pistachio green, pastel yellow, sky blue - these colors combined with light pink are perfect for spring or summer combinations. Especially sky blue and pink! They simply belongs together! Do you remember the Pantone colors of 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity? That combination is simply timeless and still current this year.
Neutrals:
White, tan, beige - If you want to achieve a rustic and very delicate look, mix light pink with neutrals. Give a try to a very light quilt made with those hues. We are sure it's going to turn out amazing.
Striking hues:
Turquoise, cherry red, orange - If you are looking to to achieve bold and sophisticated combinations mix pink with those colors. :)
Take a look at this cute mood board we created for all pink lovers out there and let your imagination flow.:D
