AGF Sewing Month Re-Cap: Part II

Hey everyone!

Welcome back to the blog! Do you remember us gushing over Sewing Month? Since we are obsessed with everything dealing with sewing and fabrics, we felt that we had to share our love with beautiful makers like yourself. For this reason we featured a ton of talented sewists that made projects with AGF throughout the month of September.

Every day of the month (except Sundays) we were able to share quilts, garments, and many other projects that could get your sewing buds tingling. Here is a little re-cap from the second half of September (In case you missed Part 1 of the re-cap, view it here). We hope you like it!

Week 3

Week 3 projects

1. Let’s begin with the cutie in the corner, styling her dress made with Curiosities Fabrics by Jeni Baker. Michaela from Covered in Modge Podge felt that a back to school outfit would be the perfect thing to make since, it was the first time her daughter was attending school (Pre-K).  Check out her blog for all the fun details and follow her tutorial if you would like to make your version of the “Color Blocked Peasant Dress.”

2. Kelly from Kelby Sews brightened our day with this beautiful modern quilt made with Imprint Fabrics by Katarina Roccella. The “Sugar Loaf Block” she used definitely made the colors of this collection stand out.

3. To all my ladies that always need more space to stash make-up or accessories, this travel case is perfect! Sarah from Radiant Home Studio, used Cultivate Fabrics by Bonnie Christine to make a beautiful yet functional project. Visit her blog to find out all the details, you might want to make more than one. (◕‿-)

4. For this project, Ren from the Inspired Ren was featured on the Melly Sews Blog. This was her debut as a contributor for Melly Sews and we’re happy to know that her first post was going to be with AGF. (゚ヮ゚) Ren decided to make the “Pristine Swing Dress” with Imprint Fabrics (“Morse Dot Blu” knit) by Katarina Roccella for her little one. The new dress is now her little girl’s favorite dress!

5. Personally, I am obsessed with these PJs made with Happy Home Fabrics by Sew Caroline. Brooke from Oliver’s Fancy did a great job making these “fancy” PJs! If you are in need of a new PJs or would like to have another cozy pair in your stash, you can read about the different patterns she used to make this cute ensemble.

6. Have you seen this quilt made with Artisan Fabrics by Pat Bravo? It is ADORABLE! Alicia from Two kids and A Blog turned a fun concept that her friend made into this “Camper” quilt. She used many of the prints from the collection to make this artsy and scenic quilt. If you would like to make your own version, Alicia wrote a great tutorial you can follow.

Week 4

Week 4

7. Megan from Quilt Story made a special movie night sleeping bag for her little princess. She beautifully displayed a few of the prints from Anna Elise Fabrics by Bari J. and to make it extra special, Megan appliqued her daughter’s name on the bottom (Lucia). Check out her blog to view the complete project.

8. This little lady definitely showed off her attitude while wearing an outfit made with Sketchbook Fabrics by Sharon Holland. Sarah (the cutie’s mom) from My Crowded Nest showed her love for AGF not only with this knits outfit, but she also talked about all the other projects she made with AGF. Keep on sharing Sarah! We love it! (゚ヮ゚)

9. Heather also from Quilt Story (Did you know she’s Megan’s sister?) made this beautiful teepee with Bound Fabrics by April Rhodes. The prints she used fit perfectly with the scenery! I’m sure this project was the beginning of new adventures for her kiddies.

10. Abigail from Freckled Fashionista flattered us when she said that “AGF’s fabric feels like angels made it.” Thank you so much for those kind words! For this project, Abigail wanted to make a simple garment that could be worn for many occasions. Therefore, she made the “One Hour Top” with the “Tribal Study Aura” knit from Anna Elise Fabrics by Bari J. It looks great!

11. Look at this fashion forward kimono made with Cultivate Fabrics by Bonnie Christine! ❤ Erin from Poppy Quinn decided to make a garment that could be worn as a statement piece during a day out, but that was comfortable enough to wear at home.  She definitely nailed the look with the lovely “Everblooming Fig” voile she used.

12. Jessee from Art School Dropout stepped out of her comfort zone and made this girly quilt with Anna Elise Fabrics for daughter. The modern design suits the fun prints of the collection and the cloud like quilting is so dreamy! We’re sure her daughter loved it as much as us.

Week 5

(September happen to have a short 5th week)

Week 5

13. Tara from The Tiny Hummingbird decided to make the versatile “Staple Dress” with “Painting Morale” in knit from Bound Fabrics, both designed by April Rhodes. Tara shows off the dress with a nice pair of flats and tells us how she’ll be wearing it during the cooler fall weather. She also explains that making this dress was a new experience for her because she’s not use to making garments. We think she did a great job! Keep on making garments, Tara!

14. Megan from City Stitches made this beautiful modern quilt inspired by the deserts of the Southwest. She used various prints from the Bound Fabrics collection and believe it or not, it’s over 80” long! Visit her blog to see the full version, it’s lovely.

15. Up next, we have Jen from Little Wife Power House who gave this glider a great make over. She felt that it was time to give this comfy chair a new look by re-upholstering it with the Bound print in AGF Canvas! You have to see the before and after pictures, it’s amazing!

16. Last but not least, we have some chic vintage aprons made by Leslie from the Seasoned Homemaker. Leslie decided to re-make her apron pattern covers with Home Fabrics by Sew Caroline. She combined the prints from this collections beautifully. Stop by her blog to view all the styles she re-created with other AGF collections and stay tuned for a tutorial she will be posting soon.
