It's Official! Priory Square and Wild & Free for AGF Limited Edition

Hello fabric lovers! The full reveal is finally here!

Last week we shared the big news on our next Limited Edition designers, Maureen Cracknell and Katy Jones. All your feedback has been fascinating and we know you've been on the edge of your seats waiting to see what these lovely ladies have been up to.

So, today we are excited to reveal their upcoming collections with AGF available this fall!

First let's start with Maureen's collection for AGF Limited Edition, Wild & Free, available November 2014!

Wild & Free is a collection inspired by Maureen's lifelong love for Potter County, PA. Where the warm colors of wildflowers, glowing sun, and night sky jump out from the lush wooded landscapes.

Flourishing wildflower sketches, pretty plaids, striking etchings, and the bohemian spirit creates these designs and dances across each print.  Maureen wanted to capture the feeling of freedom; when you let your hair down, kick off your shoes and run though the lush meadows.

Wild & Free is a celebration of both raw beauty of the landscape, and loosing yourself in a long day spent exploring nature.

For the next collection we take flight to Priory Square, England.

Priory Square was inspired by where Katy lives, and the beauty that is England. She knew she wanted to create something inspired by her familiar surroundings, however, excluding the obvious associations one might have with England.
Katy spent most of her childhood outdoors, encouraged to love the simple things in life, like flowers, plants, and roses. Ironically, she is a self-proclaimed terrible gardener, but an English Cottage garden makers her heart skip a beat, and reminisce back to her childhood years, which led Katy to create Cottagely Posy.
Why Priory Square? Katy moved to Yorkshire to attend college, she fell in love with the scenery and wild countryside, which was extremely different from the agricultural area she knew as a child. The You Are Here (map print) is a vintage replica of the area where she spent 3 years at college, just after she moved to the West side of town, where she met her husband, got married, and soon after bought a tiny tittle stone cottage in Priory Square.
All the prints from Katy's collection are a journal page - it tells the story of her love for the beautiful country and gives you a little insight into who she is behind the quilts.
Take a peek at the video our creative team has put together for you, and get to know more about these artistic women!
We hope we have inspired your creativity, and you enjoy these new collections coming this fall!
Priory Square will be available in October, Wild & Free will be available in November! Just enough time for you to start planning your fall projects with these new versatile collections.
Thank you for all your support!

Hello fabric lovers,

We are overjoyed with the reaction from you all!  It's so exciting to finally welcome Katy Jones, and Maureen Cracknell as our next Limited Edition Designers. I bet by now you all want to know what their collections will look like. So, today we bring you a sneak preview of both.

We hope you enjoy these, and please let us know your thoughts & comments below!

Wild & Free

Maureen Cracknell

We gladly present to you Wild & Free by Maureen Cracknell. It was inspired by Maureen's lifelong love for Potter County, PA. This assortment explores the essence of a bohemian spirit, who loves adventure and lets their hair down, kicks off their shoes and runs free.

Each motif was taken from a print, so that makes 8 prints, with the addition of 2 knits, and 1 voile, all on a limited run!

You will have to wait until August 11th to view the entire collection.

Priory Square

Katy Jones

Next, we bring you Priory Square by Katy Jones.  This collection also consists of 8 prints, 2 knits, 1 voile, which are a secret until the reveal next Monday.

Priory Square is inspired by where Katy lives, England.  She wanted to create something that embodied the beauty of England, excluding the obvious associations one may have about the country. All the prints in this collection represent things close to her heart and home, and she is very excited to share more on all that makes her heart sing!

We hope you enjoyed this sneak peak, and we are over the moon to have begun to shed light on these beautiful collections. Mark your calendars for August 11th--when the full reveal will happen!

Meet the Next Limited Edition Designers!

Hey lovelies!

Today is the day you all have been anxiously awaiting so, let's see if your guesses for our next Limited Edition designers will be confirmed!

We are so delighted to have these next two women bring designs and aesthetics that are in perfect tune with our Limited Edition brand. Their iconic identities are known throughout the fabric community as creative, inspiring, and uplifting. So, let's get to the big debut. In no particular order we welcome to the AGF family:

Katy Jones

Katy is a quilter with a passion for fashion and interiors. She lives in a small village in the North of England with her husband, two children, two cats and a very small dog.

Her obsession with quilting happened around 2008 but her love of fabric began as a child. She admits the discovery of quilting unleashed the fabric hoarding demons inside of her!

She loves the traditions of quilting, the history and the stories behind the creations. For Katy, quilting is about the communities created, the shared love of fabric and sewing, the joy of making and of gifting homemade.

Katy has authored two books with Martingale and contributed to many others as well as working on the editorial team of a UK based quilting magazine.

Maureen Cracknell

Maureen Cracknell lives in small town Potter Country, Pennsylvania. She is a mother, wife, blogger, quilter, and lover of all things creative and handmade.

Just a little over four years ago she started sewing and blogging at Maureen Cracknell Handmade; a simple, positive, and creative blog where she loves to share her projects, fabric stashes, sewing, and special family moments.

Two years into blogging, she opened a Facebook page with intentions to share and connect with people who, like her, live with a passion to sew and quilt---most of who follow her blog, which has been supported and grown to over eighty thousand followers. These supporters continually give her encouragement and the opportunity to follow her path of creating and sharing.

She's been a proud member of several fabric manufacturer design teams throughout the years, including Art Gallery Fabric’s popular Fat Quarter Gang, and continues to work as an Independent Designer for Janome Sewing Machines. She is incredibly grateful for each of the opportunities that have led her where to where she is today!
