peek-a-boo curtains // tutorial + giveaway
July 21, 2014
Hello! It has been a while since I have posted a tutorial here. For some time I have wanted to post this tutorial made with Littlest by AGF In-house Studio.
This collection has certainly inspired many quilters and sewers. We are happy to see so many projects shared on the different social platforms.
Littlest includes a panel (44-45 width) in two different colour options, and it can be transformed in a multitude of ways. Today we bring you a simple, but functional tutorial using the Magical Prairie Moon Panel. This "peek-a-boo" set of curtains is sure to enliven any window; especially in a nursery room.
Here is what you will need:
¾ yd. of Magical Prairie Moon Panel
Cut:
Two (2) 12 ¾” x 43 ¼” rectangles
Take one of the rectangles and fold the base ¼” in. Press and fold again ½” in. Do a top stitch to hold the folds in place. Press flat.
Repeat the previous steps, but this time do it on the side edges.
To create the fold on the top edge, fold it ¼” in, press as you fold, and then fold again 3” (make sure that the ¼” is folded inwards). Sew 1/8” from the bottom and top edges for a clean finish.
Repeat all the previous steps with the other rectangle and you're done!
