Hello Quilty Friends,
What’s your favorite thing about making a quilt? It’s super hard to choose for me because I enjoy the whole process from start to finish. It really is a journey that is both therapeutic and at times can be a bit stressful. (good stress :)) There is a lot of work that goes into creating a quilt; designing the quilt, choosing the fabrics, figuring out the fabric requirements, cutting your quilt pieces, sewing the quilt top, to the process of quilting it and then of course the final step binding it!
Whichever part you enjoy the most the feeling you get when you are completely finished with your quilt is the best feeling ever! That feeling is what keeps me creating quilt after quilt with so much joy and happiness!
Another great feeling we cherish is the ability to be able to share our quilty creations with you!
Which is why I am so excited to share with you a quilt we made for Issue 52 of Love Patchwork and Quilting! We made this quilt with Pat Bravo’s romantic, free- spirited collection Indie Boheme! We also used some coordinating solid pure elements and fabrics from the AGF Denim Studio!
This beginner friendly quilt is made entirely out of strips. How easy is that? You can find the full instructions in Issue 52, along with so many great LP&Q sewing projects!
If I had to choose, quilting is my favorite part of the process. It is what makes your quilt top you worked so hard on come to life! My go to quilting is the great meandering loop de loop design! I just get lost in the movement and the sound of the long arm which is where I find my true happy place!
To share the happiness of quilting we have a great GIVEAWAY!
