How’s the week treating you so far? Here at the AGF HQ, things are getting more exciting because Quilt Market is approaching…but we’ll leave that conversation for another time. I’m here to tell you all about my love for simplicity and my adoration for black and white. I know that at first, the thought of black and white can seem kind of boring, but on the contrary I feel that using these colors can make you more creative.
By challenging yourself to use mostly black and white in some of your projects, it can help you explore other areas of sewing, textiles, and quilt design. For example, you can experiment with bold monotone prints, you can find creative ways to add pops of color into your projects, and you can even incorporate different textures.
Now that I have you thinking about all the possibilities with black and white fabrics, I have to tell you about the new collection designed by the AGF Studio: Lagom. This collection is all about the right amount of simplicity, color, and sophistication. It actually got its name from the Swedish word meaning “just the right amount” and that’s exactly what this fabric collection expresses. It has the right amount of contrast, florals, geometrics and style! Plus, some of the accent colors resemble the pantone colors of the year, Serenity and Rose Quartz.
I encourage you to check out the lookbook filled with tons of quilts, garments, and home décor ideas. You’re definitely going to be inspired!
Don’t forget to download the “Hinna” free quilt pattern! This modern quilt is sure to make your favorite room extra cozy.
Feel free to coordinate a few versatile blenders into all your minimal projects. ;)
